It was definitely a good year. While not all of my plans worked out, I can’t complain 🙂
Summary of Year 2016
Entering the area of making clothing patterns for sale was a big challenge. Of course, I wouldn’t do it if not for the help and assistance from my friend Ania – who is a really experienced dress- and pattern maker. Her knowledge and experience are invaluable not only from a business perspective – meetings with Ania give me an opportunity for personal growth, and also provide a major boost of energy.
I care also for your development, that’s why I post DIY guides, as well as sewing tips. In 2016 the greatest recognition from you received my bias binding series – if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s worth a look.
There were also a few changes – 5th anniversary of this blog was a big milestone for me. On this occasion Zygzak has undergone a metamorphosis, gaining a new layout and logo. I opened myself on a new media and created an Instagram account.
It’s good but can be better. In 2017 I’m going to focus on development – both professional and personal. I want to expand my knowledge and understanding of sewing and pattern making. I also plan on further discovering the secrets of lingerie making – at the beginning of the year I’ll tell you how my first attempt at sewing a bra went!
I plan to share sewing knowledge with you, as well as to encourage Ania to share her experience on our second blog (Nuance). Shyly, I try also my hand at creating videos, so who knows – perhaps 2017 will be the year I start a Youtube channel?
And what are your plans and dreams for the coming year? Please share your thoughts in the comments 🙂
