Kitchen Apron With a Touch of Retro Style

This is the first apron I’ve made in my life 😀 It was a Christmas gift, so I wanted to make sure it stood out a little from those available in stores. The cotton with English roses print fitted perfectly to this project, and gently flared bottom gave it a feminine touch.
Kitchen apron, retro style, English roses printed cotton, sewing blogI finished the edges with a bias tape, and the waistband with ties are also made with the same (unfolded) bias tape. Sewing the waistband from bias cut strips wasn’t the best idea, but after I interfaced them, they could be restrained 🙂

How do you like it? Do you sew your own aprons or would you rather buy them?
